I started working at a high school last year as the Attendance Secretary and Admin Assistant to the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director. I LOVE that job! An opportunity came up to master another aspect and I began the 2017-18 school year as the Registrar because the previous Registrar moved over as the Athletic Secretary(thank goodness she's still nearby to answer all my questions). We just got done with our fall break and I had a project in mind that I just had to do. I couldn't wait to get started. I'd painted a wall in our home similar to this one(it's somewhere here on the blog). But I had shelves and family photos in mine. So the AS rearranged her office as well and now we're working on a project to upgrade her office as well. When the new Assistant Principal said, "You can paint if you want," she had no idea what she was offering. I moved the filing cabinets that were against that wall across the room with the rest of the bank of them. There will be a table for new families to sit around in front of the wall. I just feel when you're welcoming new students to school, their first room should not look like a record room, but should be welcoming. I have a map of major colleges and universities that as I send transcripts out I'm going to poke a flag pin into the school.
